Recommended Servos for a Sherline 5000 Mill

    Hi,
I am looking for advice on servos for my Sherline 5000 mill. I will be doing engraving and milling aluminum. What servos will give me a robust setup, with good feedrates...without missed steps?
    Thanks

    Smile

Servo's usually don't miss steps they fault out "stop", stepper motors miss steps.

A complete servo solution may cost 50 percent more than a equivalent stepper solution.

See the attached links for some good information.

    Steppers and Servos...

I would be happy to chat if you want more info.
