Jallitt,
Using a strap and the engine lift is pretty simple.

You might add an additional strap wrapped around the top of the column and the chain to keep the mill from spinning or flipping.

Need to move my Super X3. When I lifted it onto the bench the first time I used a chain block and the back of the machine rested on the workbench cabinets while it was going up i.e it was pretty stable. When I lifted it down using an engine hoist it flipped over and dangled precariously upside down for a while until I gently got it back on the ground.
I'm thinking 4 screw eyes in the holes for the feet and 4 fixed length chains might help keep it balanced while hanging free.

Hi Jalitt,
I moved mine with an engine hoist and used a heavy strap, like a tow strap about 20' long to wrap around the base and the spindle housing so that the mill was held in a vertical position and stable throughout the process. Since you already have the hoist it will be easy to find a way to hold it stable and mount the hook for the hoist above the mill. The addition of the 4 eye hooks and fixed lengths of chain sounds like it will work fine as long as you also run a strap around the spindle housing to keep the top stable. Good luck moving it and I'm sure you will find a good way to accomplish it.
