    Help with rotary table

I have a rotary table for a mill and would like to hold a 5" diameter cylinder using this rotary table. I do not need to move at a high rpm (7 - 8 rpm max)

I also have a 3 jaw chuck available.

Does anyone have any recommendation for the kind of fixture needed to support such a cylinder (5" diameter)?

    thanks in advance

What about a fixture made out of a tube welded to a plate.

Then bore the tube ID to the correct diameter after you mount it to your rotary.

It would be perfectly centered as long as you dont remove the fixture from the rotary.

What size is the rotary table, what size is the chuck.

Will the chuck hold the cylinder with the inside jaws, if yes then make a backplate to fit the chuck to the RT.
