    Noisy mill

    Hey,

I've got a cnc'ed x3 that I recently converted and have only made a few parts on. The thing is fairly loud and I'm wondering if something is maybe wrong with my spindle. It sounds a bit like a jack hammer. . . maybe not quite as loud. I've run manual full sized mills before that were much quieter. I'm wondering if somethings wrong with my machine or maybe this is just how these smaller chinese mills sound. The spindle runs true at the base but the cylinder where the drawbar mounts is certainty not concentric.

    Thanks,
    Adam

yeah the drawbar cap might be the problem i have remachine mine as the top of the drawbar will sometime sit excentric and will make a sound similar to a percussion drill
