Anyone know how I could converting my mini mill from geared to belt driven spindle.

| I have done two of them, both using treadmill motors. ONe of them used the xl timing pulleys, and the other was a small v belt. I took a plate, and mounted that to the original motor mounts, then decided where the motor would fit. I turned some standoffs to elevate the motor so the pulleyw would align. Get some pulleys in the correct ratio, you will have to bore out the one to fit the spindle pulley, but you will find one with the correct bore for the motor pulley. Its really easy. |
