| Just stumbled on this gem searching for some Gcode. Almost 500 pages of programming goodness (if purchased) It's a limited preview (highlighted text in table of contents) but about half of it is free to view. CNC Programming Handbook By Peter Smid Hoss

| The MIT videos don't all seem to be available as .wmv anymore either but you can download them as .flv. Machine Shop 1 Machine Shop 2 Machine Shop 3 Machine Shop 4 Machine Shop 5 Machine Shop 6 Machine Shop 7 Machine Shop 8 as .wmv Machine Shop 9 as .wmv Machine Shop 10 as .wmv Hoss

| I use a free website tool called zamzar (www.zamzar.com) which will convert these .flv's to your preferred type (e.g. mpg, wmv) for permanent keeping. very useful!

| Since we are talking videos: Another great site to learn the basics of lathe work is here at http://www.wswells.com/video/index.html These are on the old South Bend lathes, but the fundamentals are still good, even for the Mill work as far as setup and measuring etc. |

| Looks like MIT changed things and the links died. Videos are still there, and can be found by searching "machine shop" or try: http://techtv.mit.edu/search?q=machine+shop&x=0&y=0
