    Good Tools Cheep

After being on vacation for a week I have some cool stuff to show. I went to a few large fleamarkets and was able to pick up a bunch of brand new cutters for dirt cheep. I didnt spend more then 20 bucks on a single one. Heres what I got:

    3/16" 2F Carbide Paid$1.00 Retail$10.03 Difference $9.03 https://www.fastenal.com/web/product...ex?sku=0321354
    1/2" 2F OSG Paid$7.50 Retail$42.15 Difference $34.65 http://www.jlindustrial.com/OSE-5271...D/product.html
    1/2" 3F Accupro Paid$20.00 Retail$137.47 Difference $117.47 http://www.jlindustrial.com/ACC-0531...M/product.html
    5/8" 4F Putnam Paid$7.50 Retail$30.19 Difference$22.69 http://www.jlindustrial.com/GFE-9423...Y/product.html
    3/4" 4F Hanita Paid$3.00 Retail$45.98 Difference$42.98 http://www.jlindustrial.com/HNT-0107...D/product.html
    1" 4F HSS Paid$10.00 Retail$48.69 Difference$38.69 https://www.fastenal.com/web/product...ex?sku=0327748
    Carbide Turning Insert Paid$15.00 Retail$61.40 Difference$46.40 http://www.jlindustrial.com/KKI-5273...D/product.html

    TOTALS: Paid$64.00 Retail$375.91 Saved $311.91

So here is my advice, Hit up the local fleamarkets early on the weekends. You will mostlikely find some good stuff. Search out the booths and tables with old tools and start looking. You should be happy with what you find. I know I am!

Ya better get there before I do, don't forget to scour the garage sales. I missed out on a complete tooling package for my shop at a garage sale once , walked right pass the stuff thinking it would be in the back plus some old lady was talking to the owner(didn't think she would be after machinist tools), I over heard her working him down to 90 bucks when I asked the owner where the machinist tools were , he said he just sold it to the old lady and I look over and I see her loading box after box, jo blocks , parellels, micrometers , you name it and she scored it all for $90 bucks.

I had never knew that this stuff is sold. We have garage sales every fall and spring. The closest ne coming up is September 13th. I never go around town, I think i'm going too. Someone could be selling some awesome stuff, you never.

Also, every Saturday there is a Flee market in my town.
