Newbie- Connecting Emco F1 to PC running Kcam4

Hello,

I have an Emco F1 that has a problem with the controller and I can't save programs, needless to say it's hard to work this way. The F1's controller can be hooked up to a PC using RS232 interface and can run software such as this one http://www.xilag.com/EmcoF1.htm so it seems that I should be able to run something like Kcam4 and that way I can save programs and even make my life a little easier with DXF import and such (on Kcam4). Does anyone have any experience with the Kcam4 or the F1 and knows if this is possible or not. If not, is there a simple way (without installing a new controller) to run code from a PC to the F1?
