Mine doesn't show the X2 on sale..

I think I really want the X3 though.

ETA: Of course, neither one is in stock in Providence.

ETA2: The X3 shows an in-store price of $999 still. Damn!

X3! NOW you're talking a serious mill! Grizzly is the best place to buy it:

One year warranty and only $32 more for a lift-gate truck delivery. As long as your location will accept an 18 wheeler you're set.

If you intend to CNC convert your X3 then this is the one for you. If you want to use it MANUALLY for awhile though, you might be better off with the extra features on the Super X3:

I intend to run manual for quite a while, although I will be adding a DRO fairly quickly. If I'm going to go $1400, I'd rather go to lathemaster and get a zay7045..

There's no special

That's the regular price. I don't believe that there's a "special" on anything. It's just expensive. With the price of everything now, I don't know what to tell you any more. They just have a totally different price on the web which sucks. I hate it when they do that because it just makes it very inconvenient plus the little faith you had with that company just goes out the window. Same company, two different prices...am I the only one who thinks there's something fishy here? The machine is fine, but the price is not for all the work that you need to do to it to make it better. Don't get me wrong, it's do able, but I'm just saying.

I'm with you there, I like to manually do a few things every now and then which is why I'm not so sure I want to cnc any time soon. I know you can make some great stuff, but the cost is just up there, at least for me.

Whatever you get, keep in mind that the bigger you go, the heavier and the more things seem to cost. They are great, but it's like anything else. Everyone likes a sports car, but not everyone can afford to maintain one...some people just find this the hard way though after they complain about how expensive it is to fix something in their car...unless you don't mind getting your hands dirty with your own car of course.
