    Terco CNC 45

    Hello

I just got a Terco CNC 45 at house, and that's about it. I miss manuals, and everything else. I also miss one cable from the controllerbox to the mill....it's a cable a bit wider than a parallell port cable (will post a pictur later)

I would like to gather as much information as possible for this mill, and hopefully get started in a while!

Here is a picture of it

    terco

    Hi,

Terco has been out off business for a long time.

You may have to retrofit your mill with new stepper motors and driver-controller.

Doing a retrofit will also enhance the machine tenfold.

Gecko is coming out with a inexpensive drive and finding new steppers wont be a problem.

Mach 3 is also inexpensive and works very well.

Then you have to chose a cad cam program.

There are several Terco owners here and I am sure they will help out.

    Steppers and Stepper Driver

    Anders,

Gecko is in the process of introducing a new stepper driver that is very good and very affordable, see the attached link:

    Cheap drives?

It is a long read however it will save you some money for sure.

As far as steppers go any brand that is 2 phase with 250 oz/inch and larger should work very well.

You can purchase new ones from Keling or several other vendors see list:

The vexta products are going to be very expensive.

Hope this gives you some direction.
