Is Harrbor Fright and others not selling X2?

I was looking on Harbor Fright Tools web site and Grizzly.

Was at my local Harbor Fright Tool store and they did not have one?
Was told they had NO plans on getting any more in stock.
Then for some reason I did not see them listed the day I did a Web search?
I just wanted to make sure I could get parts in the future?
Did not know if the X2's being phased out or something?

HF stores do not carry the X2's in stock. My store special ordered me one and I picked it up today. Delivery took 8 days. ( no shipping charges if delivered to the store) Saves a bit of money.

Yep, the 44991 at HF has become a "Special Order Only" item. They still carry them, just not a normal in-stock item. I suppose it could be up to the individual store manager if they want to keep one on the shelf or not.

Congrats on the new mill, cooter! Any plans of CNC'ing it, or will you just keep it manual?

I plan on keeping it manual. Will add DRO's and maybe a power X feed later.
Today is tear down and clean.

X2 is there on Harbor fright like the previous post http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=44991
btw, I just special ordered my X2 few days ago. Also ebay for coupons for Harbor Fright 15% off any one item, I'm going to try it, never know it might work!

Opps sorry, I read the thread backwards, sorry it was my first post.

The typical 10%, 15%, and 20% off coupons I've seen for HF all seem to exclude special-order items. Hope it works for you anyway!

Ah, well your likely correct, but it doesn't hurt to try... worse they say is "doesn't apply", and I'm out $1.50, otherwise I'm saving $73.35.

I used a 15% off any-one-item coupon (bought on eBay from an Entertainment booklet) on a "special-order" X2 and they took it no problem. But if you've already ordered it, it's probably too late. Didn't you pay for it before they took your order?

By the way, I ordered mine Mar 15th and I still don't have it! Supposedly they got new ordering software and there was a disconnect between the store order and the shipping department. I was promised it was on the "Monday delivery truck" three times and I finally emailed corporate to complain. Some level of manager actually apologized by email and then phone! Not sure I believe the excuse. If it's not here today I don't know what action I could take anyway, especially with the 15% off.

Yes I already paid, but they have to cancel and re-ring it up for tax-exempt, and they said they would do that when I pick it up... and I figured I try the coupon then.

but thanks for the heads up, I ordered it this month on the 3rd, so if I don't hear back soon I'll ping them..

Well next time you call ask for their bosses contact, in case you need to escalate it farther up the chain if something like that happens again. Usually that keeps them on their toes.
