SMW Precision DRO for X2?

Has anyone purchased the DRO kit for the Sieg X2 from SMW Precision?

I've been considering purchasing this, but haven't been able to get through to them on email or the phone. The kit looks good and the price is right. I'm looking at this kit:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Mini-Mill-3-Axis...742.m153.l1262

Can anyone recommend a DRO in the same price point if they haven't used this one? Most are at least $100 more expensive.

I havent used this one but comes out a little cheaper 332.00 for the same size scales that are in the kit. cdctools.com just look under dro and scroll down.

If you cant get ahold of the ebay seller to ask question on buying an item how are you going to return it when it comes in broken. I have been burned acouple of times on ebay (who hasnt) so I always ask a question if they reply I buy, if they dont respond I move on. Goodluck

I have that exact setup from that same seller.

The X axis mount was less rigid than i liked so i changed the way it was mounted. Y and Z are as he designed. I have made some parts that i simply would'nt have been able to make without it and you cant beat the price. The batteries in the scales is a pain in the a$$ but again for the price.

Put it this way, I like it enough that i just ordered another kit for the 9X20 lathe. I also have made plans for battery eliminators that will enable me to use D cells or a power supply.

Point is, it's not a bad setup if that is all you can afford. Works well.

134 holes in this part and everything in the proper spot.
