I'm interested in buying a sieg X3 mill from grizzly. I've never had anything shipped to my residence via freight before and don't really have any way of unloading a freight truck (loading dock, fork truck etc..). I was wondering if anyone has any input or suggestions? (perferably someone thats had direct experience with grizzly's freight carrier). another option would be to rent a u-haul truck with a ramp or liftgate and get an X3 from a harbor freight store about 80 miles from here. I live about 3 miles off a highway and there shouldn't be any problem getting a truck to my house (a full size semi might be iffy though). any ideas?

I'm not sure about Grizzly, but most freight companies will charge you "extra" for a residential delivery. For the extra fee they will bring it out on a truck with a lift-gate and a pallet jack to move it into your garage. (They obviously won't go up and down stairs or over rough terrain.) Otherwise you will either need a way to get it off the truck yourself or pick it up at the freight companies yard. (They will usually put it in/on whatever vehicle/trailer you bring with a forklift for free.)

I ordered my X3 from Grizzly in Novemberish of last year. I called them a bunch to make sure that I could get it to my house without any problems, and everytime they were like "Ya we just bring it to your house". Sweet. A while later I got a call and said the mill was in town (Tucson) and would be going out for delivery. I live at the end of a cul-de-sac so I asked if they could send a little truck with a lift gate. They said sure. The next day a dude in a FedEx truck showed up with my mill. He lowered it to the ground and wheeled it into my garage for me. I don't know what will happen to you, but it was really easy for me. |

If you ordered an SX3, I have heard that it is backordered for 3-4 weeks. Don't know about the availability of the X3. Every machine that I bought from Grizzly (that was in stock) was usually shipped in 1-2 days after purchase, and I received it in 2-5 days after purchase. Actually, every purchase I have ever made from them (except for one paddle switch switch is backordered) arrived probably an average of 3 days after I ordered it. Very quick response. If the machine is backordered, you will receive a notification at the 30 days point to give you the option to cancel the order if you would like.

I got my x3 from the local harborfreight store...They load it in your pickup and I unloaded it by myself using a engine hoist and two tie-down straps. HF has its 15% coupon out again! That makes the x3 about $850 with no freight costs - if you get it at the store

I was literally just about to pull the trigger (ok mouse) on the grizzly model but if i can save a few bucks at HF I'm all over it, especially since it sounds like grizzly may be back ordered, and HF is right down the street.

I got one a few days ago in their store sales flier good until 2/25. (Looks like a newspaper.) About the same time I also got one of their mail-order catalogs (looks like a magazine), but they don't seem to ever put coupons in those mailings. The nice thing about the HF coupons is that you can use them on sale items as well. I got my X2 while it was on sale and I had a 20% off coupons. (I haven't seen any 20% off coupons since, unfortunately. ) Anyways, if you're not getting the "in-store" sale mailings, and just the mail-order mailings, you want to ask the store if they have a separate mailing list from the on-line one.

I have got three 15% coupons since December. Its not asking that will get you on the list. If you get an e-mail, at the bottom there is a link to your preferences. Its pretty clear what ones are for store and what ones are for internet. Under all that is a sign up for special savings (mailed). I think thats the one that will get you the 15% coupons. Either that or your Postman is a tool nut! ![]() The 15% coupon is to the left of your name and address on the mailing... if your looking inside you will miss it!

Yeah thats funny, I definitely get all the mailings, almost one a week, catalogs as well once in a while. I'm usually up to speed when a coupon hits, i wait for them for the big ticket purchases but as of today still nothing. I gave the local HF a call today and they don't know of any 15% coupons in circulation around here. Maybe it's regional? I'm here in the Midwest where abouts are you guys from? Anyone have one handy to scan for me? They never seem to have a problem with the printouts i bring them. Hey MetalBlade, post back if you hear from grizzly regarding your order.
