Im looking now for software to run my X2 mini mill. Need it to do 4 Axis control on mill. 4th axis to do gears,Threads inside & outside,Tapers and rounds ect. So i was wondering if TurboCAD/CAM PRO 12 will run the steppers on a X2 mini mill? Or do i need Mach 3? And a CAD software. What are you all using? |

| TurboCadCam provides 3D CAD but only 2.5D CAM. You will still need control software like Mach3. Cad does the drawing Cam converts the drawing to gcode Controller software use the gcode to generate signals to the stepper/servo motors. True 4 axis Cam software is expensive. I use TurboCadCam v11.3 and Mach2 Phil
