| who makes a good boring head for x2 mill I want to get a good boring head for my x2 mill. Are the enco heads any good or should I spend the money to get a criterion? Little machine shop has them too are the any good or are they junk???? |

| I sure don't see anything wrong with the one on LMS, it looks pretty decent to me. How much are the Criterion heads? |

| I have one from JTS machinery. 2" R8 shank and 1/2" boring bars for around $30. Divisions on it are half thou per mark. I can hold less than .001 tolerances with it on my X2 with a stubby bar, coolant, and a slow feed rate. Just my 2 pennys though. |

| You really don't have to spend big coin to be able to hold a good bore tolerance. It's really got more to do with the quality of the machine and operator technique than the boring head itself. |

| I have one from LMS and I find that it works well for my needs on a X2 and a bridgeport. Great tool for the money! Bill
