Hello Everyone, I wanted to dedicate this thread to my ongoing, fun process of setting up my shop. I thought this would be a good Idea considering I have much to do in setting everything up and wanted to share my small shop and projects.
Right Now, you can say the shop looks like A mess. On one Table, I have a computer my Girlfriend's Father gave to me, after I said I can put it too good use, rather then him throwing it away. This older Dell has been gutted and awaits assembly in my old HP shell that will give it a more modern look with better cooling. At the moment it only has 256Mb ram....LOL, but with a quick little upgrade too a Gig of Ram, this little Pc should be great for my CNC conversion.
Great! So you know I have a computer and it's in the process of being built for my machine. But what machine to I have? Well that is my little Taig CNC Ready that I purchased about 3 weeks ago. It's a nice little machine and I am having so much fun setting everything up. One of the main projects right now as far as setting up the machine is, building the enclosure for the Chips/Shavings and coolant. The pan is done, but the outside of the actual mill is going to look much nicer then what you see.
Along with the enclosure and the coolant system, My first piece I made on this machine was a manifold that slides on the Headstock and will connect the LOC Lines and Fittings to the coolant hose and compressor. The piece is almost done and will be finished tomorrow with only the 1/8NPT holes too be tapped for the fittings.
Not mentioned earlier on the same table as my computer, lies the pieces to my cnc retrofit! Stepper motors, wiring, boards and more! I really want to set the PC up with all Programs installed and finish final assembly of the CNC conversion.
There is much to do and I will be posting pictures weekly if not daily on progress in the shop and of the projects needed to complete my work area!
Just some Pictures: More tomorrow!
