| Tapmatic Hi, I have a home CNC'd Mini Mill which I'm having a lot of fun with. I have been thinking of purchasing a tapping system such as a Tapmatic, but I have no idea which one would be most suitable for my purposes. I will probably tapp holes in a range from about a 1/16 up to about 3/8th and mostly in aluminum or plastic. So that when I see a suitable item on ebay could someone please recommend a couple of model numbers which would work for me. Thanks Phil |

| A TCDC Tapmatic isn't bad. But most Tapmatic's ranges are up to 1/4 inch. If you’re tapping something bigger you'll need something stouter. I like to split the jobs up in two sizes, Tapmatics for small holes (up to ¼ dia.), I really like the clutches they have. It gives me more control over the taps by adjusting the clutch back and a much stouter Procuner 1500 mainly running ¼ to a ½ inch. |
