I guess my concern here is the torque output of these motors at higher rpms. None of them have torque graphs. So, its hard to see how they'll perform as far as rapid travel. On the other hand, I'm not looking to run massive production so its not the biggest deal in the world. But, I would like the best I can get to start out with considering the cost is quite close. Can anyone shed some light on this?

I had some small steppers (~175 oz-in)/xylotex controller/48V power supply on a 4ft x 4ft cnc plasma table with 5 tpi ball screws, and was very happy with my rapids. It was a very light weight gantry on linear bearings driven by ball screws, so there wasn't much load on the steppers, but the max speed during rapids was set to well over 100 IPM even on the heavier axis. I played a lot with stepper max speed and acceleration settings, and the motor would usually stall during the acceleration phase (once it reached the set max speed it rarely, if ever, stalled) if I got too greedy with the settings. Some larger motors would probably have helped there.

Does anyone have a source for getting the BF-20 L in the United States? Penn Tool has not replied to my request, although I have yet to call them.

I bout mine from garant in Levis, Quebec, i know at first the price seem a bit steep but if you get it from the states its going to cost you that difference in price in shipping, also you will have to wait longer to get it as it will have to go true custom, plus you will have to add in duty and taxes and the fact that if you have a problem with it the part will have as well to go true custom to get to you wich is why i decided to buy it at garant.
Just for your info penntool told me they would ship to Canada for 500$. so 900 + 500 + the duty + the taxes + the waiting time in my book = is not worth it.

Well, I got a response from them in a timely manner today. It looks promising, and not that much more expensive either.

"There is a larger table, 700mmx180mm, available for an additional $100.00, however we did not import the #BF-200 with the larger size table.

We might be able to order the table via air freight if you are interested."
