I just put a NMTB 30 Taper spindle in my HF 33686 Big Green round column mill two nughts ago and have been rinning some test on it and the difference in cutting with this machine now is night and day. Before i changed spindles i would get nasty cuts and the surface would be off by a few thousandths in differents spots, but since changing to this spindle this is a whole new machine i can face a part with a 5/8" 4 flute endmill and the part taht was faced is smooth to the touch and looks smoth not like what i was getting before it is also running quieter and i have less vibration. I would recommend this mod to anyone!

I got the spindle from a gentleman on either this site or the yahoo group milldrill. He got it from Industrial hobbies when it was owned by Aron. I talked with the new Owner Gene and they are going to produce those as well he told me.
