I finally got my hands on the new BF-200 which is a bigger brother to XJ-9510. Penn Tool Co has been selling the smaller XJ-9510 (BF-16 in Europe) for a long time and they finally brought the bigger version which is the BF-200 (BF-20 in Europe). The BF-16 and BF-20 are available in Europe and they have even bigger versions. The XJ-9510 is similar in size to the Seig Mini-Mill but with much better build quality. The build quality of the bigger BF-200 is superb and much better then anything that Seig makes. I felt that the XJ-9510 was little small and I would outgrow it. I have seen the mini-mill and its quality and I did not care for it. I was thinking about the X2 or X3 but they are made by same company who make the mini-mill. I was a machining engineer for 10 years and I know that weight is not everything. As soon as I saw the new BF-200 in the sales flyer, I ordered it immediately. This machine is ready right out of the box! | I am going to install scales on the table so I am not worried about the dials at all. It is most likely metric. I think I am the first one in the country to have this mill. Penntool just received 5 and and I bought one of them. |
