Harbor Freight Band Saw Blade Slipping

I've tightened my band saw blade as tight as I can and even with the slightest pressure it seems to stop. The motor still going just the blade is slipping on the wheels? Any suggestions on this?

Thanks

Make sure the pulleys that the blade rides on are clean and dry. You could also go over them with some medium grit sand paper to clean off the deposits that accumulate over time. Also make sure that you are actually snugging the blade (not too tight) and not just the tightening system binding.

Maybe I should look at the manual again, I've been just tightening the know that moves the pulley up and down. I'll clean them off and see what happens. Thanks

There is a bolt that makes the upper wheel pivot. You need it to be tightened also to make the belt ride against the rear lip of the pulleys. Make sure your blade does not have any missing teeth, as this will make the train jump track.

I have a HF band saw as well and initially had the same problem.
Check that the drive wheels are in the same plane, there is a bolt
on top that you can adjust

your blade might not be slippin'

'have you checked to make sure the drive belt is not loose? Ran into this very problem sat. and gave me fits and wasted my time.... motor tensioning bolt was loose (i think my partner had used it last) and it worked like i expected after that.
