Where do most people attach their magnetic base of their gauge for making measurements such as bed travel? I have an Enco mill (105-1117). The paint is thick enough on the front part of the square portion of the upright column that the magnetic base wont stick reliably. Before I sand off a patch of paint I thought I would ask where everyone else measures from. Whenever I see pictures of measurements being taken it's always of the end with the gauge, not the end where the base is. ![]() Regards, BH |
