Hi, I have a maxnc 15 CL mill, that I'm trying to get to work on kcam4 (Demo ver. ) because I don't have the disks that came we the maxnc. I can not get the mill to work at all, the only thing that works is the spindle, The step motors do not even moved at all. Can any-body tell me what can I do to get the maxnc going again? Where can I get the setup disk that came we the maxnc so I can setup the maxnc again? Can I just used a different CNC Controller software? if so Where can I get the pinouts of the maxnc so that I can setup with a different CNC Controller? Thank you.

From the looks of it, your kcam4 will not work with the MaxNC CL. The CL version of the MaxNC mills requires specific software. The only two that I know of is the one that comes with it (which I have and am not using any more-- PM me about it if you like), and Mach3 from Artsoft (www.machsupport.com). Artsoft has a config file for the CL you will need if you use the Mach software. Mach3 will run 1000 lines of code in the free version. Hope this helps!! Colin

The mill is about 5 years old and they had made changes to the step motors and the electronics for the last five years, but if you have the setup disks for this mill (maxnc 15 CL) I'm interested in getting the disk from you. I'm alredy playing with the mach3 and so far only the spindle and sometimes the x-axis work. thank you. regards. sam.

I purchased my CL exactly 5 years ago (was delivered on Sep 11, 2001), so the software should be the right one. Please email colin at deadlywind . com and we can discuss there.
