I want to upgrade from my X1 to the X2, and I really dont like how the X1 in stock form has to extend the Y-axis out far enough to be only in 60% contact with the dovetails.

My question is:
WIth the X2, at the extents of its travel in X and Y, is it always in 100% contact with the dovetails? IE, does the table extent past the dovetails or is it closed in? And second, is it still rigid at it's extents unlike the micro?

Another question:

Is there a lot of flex in the column comming from the single nut holding it onto the base? Any measureable flex? IE, if I push the column forward and backward,or side to side will the cutter move?
