Long time lurker, first post
I did a flashcut based cnc conversion of Prazi benchtop round column mill using existing acme screws. Worked well as powered drive but backlash limited cnc accuracy. Wore out x-axis nut! over about 20 hrs of use.

I am now converting to ballscrews on X and Y , hopefully see marked accuracy improvement, then will try to work out best way to deal with z axis.I suspect i will need to do a square column conversion of some nature, have ebayed a selection of linear rails would be glad of any thoughts on how to best accomplish this.
