Hi, Is there any other software I cad run my Deford Starmill on so I get a smooth flow rather than it stoping after every move to catch up. I am running 2.3 VR at the moment the machine is 1998 with X160 Y90 Z115. Denford Offer the new v5 but its a £1000 + VAT upgrade. Would a new controler and software be a better way, I dont mind building it my self if I know the parts to buy. I am new to home CNC but ten years in CAD/CAM mainly on a Bridgeport VMC1000 using a Heidenhein controle and Delcam PowerMill for cutter paths |

| What did you do in the end. I have a Starmill, a bit earlier than yours that was running on a BBC. Not badly considering age, but it has stopped listening to computer and I want to update the drivers etc. The Spindle speed control and the toolchanger are, I think, going to be biggest challenge ! Phil. |
