| First you insert the collet into the closing nut. You push it in at an angle and it will snap into the holding ring. Then you insert the collet/nut into the collet holder. Removal is the reverse. I have to admit I had the same trouble when I first used it several years ago. Best Regards Phil

| If it helps, I think we all have had that problem at some point. When I change out collets, I have a small (tapered) cone shaped plastic thing, about the size of my collet, I press the plastic cone onto the collet by hand, and seat into the collet holder. Removal is the reverse. Its a snap! . |
