Possible G0704 high speed spindle motor,

Possibly this could work as a high speed spindle motor on a G0704.

300W spinlde motor and 52mm spindle fixture/ spindle motor/ DC motor-in DC Motor from Machinery on Aliexpress.com

At 52 mm it could fit inside the quill if one wanted with an adaptor. Otherwise one could hang it on the side with the included bracket.

Here is another spindle motor but this one says 57mm diameter. Will still fit in the 60 mm quill and run off the stock grizzly speed controller. This will get you up to 8000 rpm with an ER11 chuck.

Use this motor for small cutters, switch back to the stock motor /spindle for hogging steel.

This 2 axis setup is kinda cool. Looks like it includes driver boards as well. I'm confused by the size and weight though. The connector in the photo is probably 1" long but the shipping dimensions are 7.87in x 3.94in x 3.94in.

Installing inside the Quill? Would be kinda hard to switch back and forth. I would prefer a secondary spindle mount and leave the existing stuff alone. Not to mention if you've done a ATC and Power Draw bar...

My stock spindle slides out with by loosening one screw. Takes 20 seconds. But hanging it off the side works just as well too.

Here is my setup. Baldor 1hp, 3 phase, 2 pole motor , on 2 hp vfd. Spindle bearings and grease upgraded. Motor mocked up at the moment, seeing if I can use the gearbox still. I think most of the noise on this machine comes from the spindle rattling around in the splines. I think I am going to machine in a plastic spacer that slides in between the spindle shaft and splines. Like the one Hoss printed recently.
