Okay I fixed it. All I need to do is swap the cables from X and Z motor controllers and now everything works like before.

    Great to hear.

But it makes no sense or we were missing more details.

Signals where going to wrong axis ? unlikely.

Dropped steps ? Now the issue has now been moved to the X axis.

    Manual jog worked ok.

MoneyPit everything works like a charm. Jog,X axis ,Z axis. I have no idea what might been wrong. I don't think that the signal really matters because I calibrate each axis separately.

Okay. Problem came back. Now on X axis. I setup the gcode to run the same path for about 12 times and going deeper .030 each time. When its repeating the path 10th time it move out of path.

Sounds like a bad wire connection or a bad hardware item if it changed to other after swapping.
The fact that it moved by swapping wires, then went away for a bit, implies a loose something.

might be. but why it is working fine for about 10-15 min and then suddenly goes bad. I think there might be a problem with the motor driver.

Indeed, are they hot to the touch? Do they have any airflow?
If not, the wires can also be under tension or moved as the Mill moves and that could be re-loosening. I would have thought it was internal to the motor, but you eliminated that.

yeap. motor is fine. I'm also thinking of the USB plug by the controller board. I did damage it little bit when I was trying to drill a hole in the case . But it looks like the problem went from Z axis to X axis when I swap the cables. Which makes sense to me that the driver is causing troubles.

When it works and then it doesn't, more often then not its heat. Or its burning out internally as load increases beyond its broken-ability.

I installed a heat aluminum bracket on each drive and screw a small fan on top of that bracket so it will take the heat out. Also I have a fan in the case that will remove the hot air from the case
