    Sieg SX2 Wiring Diagram

    Hi,
Does anybody have a circuit diagram that shows any spare voltage outs blocks on the sieg sx2 circuit board?

I have an led light set up, but running of a seperate PC PSU. I need a 12v output if possible..

I have the wiring diagram in the manual, but it doesn't show the voltage's..

    TIA

The motor speed control pot has 12V across it... However, this is a mains-powered supply, so there is a serious safety hazard in using it if you don't know what you're doing. Touching EITHER side of that 12V supply can shock you. No problem as long as you keep everything totally insulated and isolated.

You will have to determine which is your board?

I guess you have to use a voltmeter to see where there is a 12v dc line and tap off it.

No problem, I just need a 12v to hook up the led driver too..
but my concern is how many amps does the motor need to operate? my LEDs need 3amp max.. I don't want to overload the 12v rail the motor is on.. is there not a spare?

Leds 3amp? nah man we're talking well less than a few mA.

Seriously? 3A? There is not a "extra" 3A in any of these controllers. They can only barely handle their intended load.

If you just need a 12 volt power supply at 3amps output? then a 3 to 5amp Laptop power supply will do it.

The LEDs I'm using are Cree XM-L's if you google it you'll find that they can be driven at 3 amps max..
There the LEDs that I put into the bike lights that I machine and anodise..

But as the controller will struggle to deliver the amps needed to the led driver, then ill just stick to the pc psu.
Just wanted to save some space..

    Thanks..

It's funny you posted this option, I had a clear out a few weeks back and binned a load of ac adaptors no doubt one of them would have been suitable..
