KX3 Sieg Control Software... Need experts

Hi guys. I've been reading this forum for a couple years and not yet joined. I'm in need of some help, I've gleaned all my resources and still can't find an answer. I purchased a OTMT or Sieg KX3 from Traver's tool. Machine is great; however, their control software is dismal.

I have used MACH3 for a year and have gotten fairly proficient. This proprietary Sieg "Fanuc" software baffles me and has nowhere near the capability of MACH3 that from what I've seen. Does anyone know anything about this software? SIEG NC V2.0? I'm looking to find out how to do manual inputs, change units from Metric to Imperial, and what post processor to use! I have tried every Fanuc and Fadal post that Solidcam and Sprutcam have without any luck...

Is anyone using this software OR has anyone been able to successfully convert the ethernet machines to run in MACH3? I would be willing to convert at this point that way I dont have to reprocess all my programs. I appreciate the help, thanks in advance.

    Zach

I would have thought it should be relatively simple to convert to Mach3 control, so long as it is still a parallel port connection to your breakout board.

If you can look in Fanuc software settings, somewhere, and take note of all ports and pins in use (step/direction, limits, spindle, etc) and replicate them in Mach3, you should be up and running in short order.

This is the whole issue... it's ethernet out not printer port. All the drivers go to cables that plug into the control box. I've seen motion controllers which is basically what this is. Is there a way to run mach3 with the ethernet port? Does anyone have a pinout of the kx3 drivers? I'm sure they are the same on the mach system as they are on this one. I need help bad!

    Thanks!

Still need some help... I got a full schematic from Sieg and I bought a breakout board from Probotix so I can run Mach3. The diagram from the stepper drivers shows 4 wires: +, PU, DIR, +

Anyone know what PU or the two plus wires stand for?? Thanks!

Ok, update: I've gained control over my 4 axis, but am still struggling to get the spindle going. I have attached the full diagram of the machine and the spindle schematic as well. I purchased a PWM controller for my BOB to hopefully control the spindle

I see there is an AVI signal of 0-10v and a ground. I get that. However, I dont quite understand the relay switching for direction. I would actually rather do this switching with my PWM board as it can do this as well. I included the manual for this board. Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm a biomedical engineer in a EE world.
    Thanks!
