3 axis Mitutoyo DRO price check

I have access locally to a used 3 axis mitutoyo DRO with 3 scales at .0002 accuracy.

    The scales are 6, 8" and 12"

My mill is a G0704. Would that work or would I be looking at getting new scales, at least for the X axis?

It's $400? The question is, is that wort hit?

New scale, or limit the travel. new scales ~400. You could also do the individual scales complete for ~125. They are on Ebay all the time.

Not quite as fancy, but they work.

Which Mitutoyo DRO? Whether or not it's worth it depends on the functions.

If it's an older one forget it, you can get a 3 axis Sino or Meister on ebay for around $550 posted and can pick the scale length. I have both of these DRO's and I have never had a problem in around 5 years, so I highly recommended.

I have the Shumatech DR-550 complete kit plus accessories that is new and in unopened condition. I've decided to sell it. If you are interested - PM me.
