On mine that is exactly what I did. I snugged it just enough to remove the play but not though that I felt it begin to drag. Working fine for me, nice and smooth!

I'm putting together the Z axis on my g0704 with Billy's conversion parts. The z has a thrust bearing on the top and angular contact bearing on the bottom of the mount. The screw goes in and you tighten it. I know I need to be careful not to overload the bearings. I am finding I can finger tighten it to a certain point and the mount will spin around the screw smoothly. If I tighten a little more it is harder to turn. I am thinking I want to tighten it just before the point where it starts to get harder to turn. Is this right?
Thanks,
Brendin

Xaron, are you referring to the 12mm nut on the end of the ballscrew that you are tightening?
If so, then after getting it to where you want it, you then turn the set screw on the nut to hold it in place?
