Sherline makes their 3 and 4 jaw chucks on an r-8 shank for use in milling machines.
At least it used to be on their web site. check sherline.com and browse around.

I have seen in Hoss' thread and the youtube of the TSS tool holders where people have attached a 3 jaw chuck to an R8 arbor and utlized Mach3 to do turning operations..
I am not too familiar with lathe components and or how the chuck gets attached to the arbor.. Anyone have a drawing and or pictures of the required components?
I have a CNC converted G0619 and I have searched and found Hoss' saying it is a chuck on a R8 arbor but unfortunately not being around machines for along time I need a bit more information on that.
Thanks!

Here's a couple sources for R8 3-jaw chucks, these are getting harder to find these days.

I made an adapter for a 3/4 shank to lathe chuck cause I couldn't find one anywhere.
