    Angry Roton Ball Screw

Hi all rather than confusing a thread I thought I post here to see if I can get any help........

Bought a 4ft/1200mm length of 5/8" / 16mm ball screw part no: 59321 and ball nut part no: 19193 from Roton Roton Products, Inc. Quality Lead Screws and Nuts for Power Transmission total price $71.19 last November gone.

I was charged by Roton for 3 day delivery UPS, the delivery took about two weeks.
I queried UPS and after 6 email correspondences I am led to believe that Roton did not pay UPS for the 3 day service…………..

I have emailed Roton 8 times over the past two weeks…..but absolutely no reply…….

Has anybody got an email contact in Roton to whom I can forward my query to? and if they’d prefer not to post it publically in this thread I’d sure appreciate it if they could post it in my private messages…

Had anybody else had any issues with Roton ?????

    No not really....

Have never had any issues with either the Roton screws or the company itself. In fact they have always been quite helpful over the phone. Their contact info is on their website. I would give them a call and discuss it with them. I have found them to be quite professional YMMV...peace

Hi Pete .......yeah you're spot on I never saw any bad Roton posts either.....and I'm sure it's just a simple clerical error and also I hated to have to post a negative post too........ I'll wait to match up time zones and ring.

Well, 3 day service for $25 is about what it would cost for priority shipping just here in the US.
2 weeks to the UK is pretty normal for items I've shipped before.
Most of the time is spent going through customs.
They don't hang out on the forum so this isn't the place to get a response from them.
I've bought tons of screws and nuts from them over the years with no complaints.
sales@roton.com is your best bet, they have a number to call for outside the US, 314-821-4400.

They have never answered any emails from me either but over the phone they were okay. Guy had a short attitude when I asked him some basic questions like mounting oreintation of the nut. He said, why would it matter, tighten it up and run it. I said because most other mfg's want the recycle tube facing up. He said, well, I don't know what to tell you then, mount them up. Kind of a jack ass.

How much did you pay for 3 day shipping to Ireland?

Thanks Hoss yeah I suppose I was just surprised after Arturo from CNC4PC supplied all my previous order in 4 days but it's just a wee bit frustrating when you don't get a reply and yup that's the email address I was using too..

Cheers for the feed back Richard and hope you don't take offence by this reply either but I hadn't really wanted this thread to be a name calling or dirt throwing place

yeah, thats a big difference in shipping costs. I could send a normal shipment
for about $50 which would probably take the 2 weeks.
Might still be a customs slow down issue but they need to respond to your inquiry.
    good luck, Hoss

Might just be the holidays, I'm still waiting on a mill delivery that shipped from Canada to the US before thanksgiving, didn't clear customs until late last week because of the backlog.

I'd imagine it's the same shipping things to the UK this time of year.

Ok problem solved and all it took was a phone call directly and I can only say I'd purchase from them again, she was extremely helpful and very professional and friendly..... and apparently they are also working on their website checkout shipping link....

So oops sorry Roton to raise any doubts....

and thanks to all who sent private messages with contact info
