    Grizzly spindle drive semi?

Anyone know what the motor power driver devices are?
On the controller board XMT-DRIVER-1000, The schematic shown in one thread indicates a IGBT, but they look more like PowerFET?
Different case than the IRG4BC20 on the schematic.

    Al,

The power chips in mine are G60N100 60A 1000V IGBT's. I blew 2 of them in my controller and was able to find replacements at Mouser. I still haven't recovered from that debacle, but I have been able to get my motor running using an AMC B30A40AC running on 220VAC. I am still working out the kinks, but I have manual control of speed from a pot from 0 to 3600 RPM motor speed, and have briefly achieved CNC control using a Gecko G540 but haven't finalized all the wiring to button everything up.

I plan on writing up my findings soon and posting to the SX3 Speed Control thread.

Devers, thanks for the info, I am playing around with something out in left field right now, initially I looked at programming a Pic to use one of the plugs ins already developed that are used for VFD control, use it to simulate the button press on the XMT (a bit crude) and then thought that maybe a total drive using the serial plug-in and a drive capable of 240v supply to run the motor at 3600rpm might be the way to go, it is mostly all on paper at the moment and is a being done as time allows.
