    Glacern standard vs premium

I'm looking at Glacern's 6" standard and premium vises. For me, the real difference is the standard's 8.75" opening (premium is 6.25") vs the premium's ability to be used vertically.

Any thoughts? Or other considerations I'm missing?

It will live on my new ZX45.

The standard's fixed jaw is bolted on. The premium's fixed jaw is part of the base casting. So the premium is more rigid.

The standard is pretty big. The smaller premium barely fits on my Tormach 1100. If you're thinking about the standard, I recommend making a paper cutout based on Glacern's dimensions, and see how it will fit on your mill.
