I have an er16 TAIG spindle. I want to use shaft collars on the tools to create repeatable tool offsets. I will engrave numbers on the collars and then attach them to the end-mills, then put the distance from the top of the collar to the end of the tool in Mach3 tool offset tables. These collars are two-piece clamping (not set-screws) Does anyone see a problem with this idea? Balance issues? Repeatablility issues? |
