Anyone have any comparable machines for me to compare? Pros and Cons of the kx1/3501 or little machine shop? I can't find anything real similar.

I've been saving up for years and I'm ready to pull the trigger. Big big decision for me. I'm pretty set on the little machine shop 3501 (seig / kx1 with 4th axis) I'm going to add the nsk air spindle (60,000 rpm) on my own later, I will be making high end watches. Watch parts (gears, springs, plates etc) brass and steel. And will be also using the cnc for cutting watch cases and making jigs and fixtures out of stainless and other metals.

My cost estimate with cpu, 4th axis, and cnc is around $6,000.00 and I don't want an 800 pound machine.

I really like the ballscrew accuracy and overall weight and price. But what do I compare it to? Minitech is too expensive and light. Tormach is a little more expensive but too heavy to move to a 2nd floor. Shirline and Taig seem too light duty and don't have ballscrew accuracy.

It's hard for me to feel confident without having ever run any of these small machines any help would be appreciated and give me some peace of mind.
