    Lookin good!
It's about ready to get dirty. Sure looks nice when it's that clean.
I'm just about ready to start on my coolant system also if all goes well it won't strip paint off too fast.
Got the C11T installed and works perfect. Also hooked up pulse card and got an RPM reading..Yeah
    Thanks

That looks cool. Its amazing how something as simple as a cover can make a addon such as these motors & mounts, well make them look like they where a part of the machine when it was designed.

Looks great, when you get the X done it will look more like a system than a conversion.

I've had movement with the acceleration at 15 and the stand is fine. But I think Acceleration should be up at like 25 to 35 like Ray and others have pointed out. So that will be the real test.

Those white valves are little-ish dial needle valves - expensive for what they are, but work nicely, from USPlastics.com.

Yeah, It's starting to look together. Should be sweet with all the covers, the head painted blue and the graphics I plan on cutting with the vinyl cutter.

I started the V3.0 of the control system last night. It is SO much cleaner than my previous hack jobs. It is finally looking like It should - I should have started in this fashion, live and learn.

Mounted to an 1/8" thick steel plate that is 18"x18".

Since my previous grounding was creating communication errors I'm starting with what most people I talk to about control systems think is the way to go. That is putting everything at the same ground reference including Smooth Stepper and the Control Board and the control PC. So I tapped into the USB port on the Smooth Stepper and bring that over to system ground. My Smooth Stepper has the current factory rework that removes the ability to use the jumper and tie it to system ground - so you need to solder something to get that ability back. I'm also adding a ground for the encoder outputs from the PMDX 126. Each Axis has a spot for PC ground, so I made a harness that brings those over to system ground as well.

    Grounding lug. Brass.

Yeah I've wanted one forever, and when I needed to do all the graphics on my car to promote the business it was WAY cheaper to just buy a Chinese cutter. I have a 24" Creation PCut. It's good for all sorts of stuff, I would never bother with using the mill when a true cutter is much better suited and not that much $$.

    Question

    jid2,

Where are you procuring the cloth wire covering (piping) from?

    Thank You,

    Jeff...

Good question, off the rack at work. I'm sure DigiKey carries it, it's made by Techflex, it's braided expandable sleeving.

I have it over the cables that are in the enclosure as well - but I'm not sure I want to go that route. I used it when I originally built the cables, not intending to do flood coolant. I'm worried the weave will get full of chips and not keep the fluid out of the solder joints that are present in the cables. I might rebuild them with solid plastic tubing over them.

OK, looks like PMDX just revved the 126 board and released a new manual. It now covers grounding in the newest manual.

They say to not connect the PCground terminals to the chassis. They also show running the Geckos off the PCground as the common instead of the 5V+. They then mention to tie the GND terminal from J11, J12 and J13 to the system ground as well as linking the PC chassis to the control system chassis. So I'm going to revise my connections to do this.
