Hi this is my first post and I wanted to say how helpful this forum is, there is such a wealth of info on here that it can be quite overwhelming - so now I'm looking for some advice on making a SX2 conversion. I teach CAD (SolidWorks) at a uni in Australia and we have some Roland mills there so I bought a tiny one (MDX-15) for my own product design work and while it's very easy to use I am looking for something that can do more (the 10W spindle motor is not what I would call powerful). Having seen some of the truly amazing X2 conversions done by members here (some that cost much less then my tiny mill did) I've decided to go that route but having more experience in software than machinery I was hoping someone would have a look over what I'm planning to build and let me know what they think. I'm looking for something fairly foolproof - this is what I've come up with so far:

SX2 Mill
CNC Fusion Mini-Mill CNC kit #4 (with Heli-Cal Couplings - also are the pre-loaded ballnuts worth getting?)
CNC controller Box F from Keling (G540, 48V/12.5A power supply)
2 Nema 23 381oz (for Z and fourth axis)
2 Nema 23 270oz (x and y)

What else would I still need to get?
I use Rhino for my personal work (SolidWorks is too expensive) and am looking at a few different CAM options MadCam or Cut3D. Everyone here seems to use Mach3 so I am thinking to go that way too (so I can bug everyone here with questions when I get stuck ) but are there any other alternative I should look into?

Does this sound alright, any changes you think would be helpful? I'd love a ATC and a lathe fourth axis like the one Hoss made but that will be for the future - hopefully
