Hi Jeff, it may help if you added X2 to the title so folks with the same kit can easily find the thread. I was scratching my head for a minute since I have the X3 kit which has a different config for the z-axis.
Just finished installation of the CNC Fusion kit #4 on my X2. Finding that the z-axis mounts block the gib screws was unexpected. I read the instructions several times to be sure I wasn't installing the Z-axis incorrectly. Why would it be designed like this? Do people just remove the z-axis assembly to adjust the gibs? Are there any creative solutions? I found in a search that someone completely modified the z-axis to mount on the left side of the column, but it basically was turned to swiss cheese and required fabrication of a new bracket. For such an otherwise beautiful kit, I'm surprised it has this limitation.
