    X2 footprint after CNC conversion?

I want to build a rolling stand/enclosure for my X2. I don't have any near-term plans to extend any travels, other than I have done the Hoss y-axis mod to extend the y-axis travel by what looks to be 1/2". I am also installing a big hunk of channel iron 4" x 1 5/8" on the back of the column to increase stiffness.

I'd like to get a ballpark on clearance after the conversion. And just any general comments about enclosure size. I've search the forums and found some sweet pics of enclosures.

I plan on building the stand first, then adding plexi/lexan sides, followed by flood coolant.

Those who have built enclosures, what would you do different if you had to do it over?

I haven't got mine completely done yet, but I went for a super-compact layout with my x2. My machine shop is a 62" long coat closet, with the x2 and a 6x20ish lathe, so space is at a premium. IIRC, the footprint of the mill is 30" x 23" or so. Both x and y steppers will be belt drive, mounted alongside the screw instead of at the end. I've been planning on starting a thread soon with my build, now that I'm starting to get somewhere with it.
