Sieg X1 Micro Mill Motor upgrade

Has any one successfully upgraded the motor on there X1.

You know what I dont under stand either why dose every one say well if ya get a new motor you have to get a new controller box. Dc controller boxes are very flexible . A motor from 8-90v that 1/5 to 1 1/2 hp can go on them .

    No one huh?
Ive come to find out the board inside it puts out 100 volts at 1.5 amperes.
Now it the largest motor it can accept.
Im trying to see if i grab another board can I possible put it back inside the X1 to retain it for a stock look while keeping the On/Off / Reverse switch the 5k pot ect.

Or what if i go CNC can I go 4axis and use one as a motor controll . I dont know much bought it so I have to do more reading.
Any imput or ideas are welcome thank you,
    ANTHONY

    Try the yahoo group:

There doesn't seem to be much traffic here about the X1. The Yahoo group can be quiet for long periods, but there should be good info in the archives.
