new RF45 chinese mill conversion - questions

    Hi there!

i'm starting cnc conversion of my mill. I've placed couples of pics in thread:

    ZAY7045 + Gecko G540?

now i have a few questions to you guys.

As i'm living in Europe everything here is expensive. This force me to search things for cnc conversion on auctions only

Do you know where can i get one shot oiler in Europe? one shot oiler system is a must as I read threads on cnczone so i'd like to start with this.

now X and Y axis conversion: I've bought two nice used servos BAUTZ, 60VDC, 8.2A, 1.05Nm torque (peak: 9.8A, 1.25Nm), up to 4500rpm.
What gear ratio are you recommend? Note that i'll not use ballscrews on X and Y due to lack of funds... Oryginally trapezoidal lead screws have a 3mm pitch. So what gear ratio to achieve resonable accelerations and speeds?
What toroidal transformer to use? I plan to order one toroid for X and Y (45VAC, 20A).

As a servo drivers i'm building UHU servo drives with irfp260n MOSFETs (critical specs: 200V, 35A). I have STEGMANN DG60D 500ipr encoders for it.

    For Z axis: Aerotech DC1000 servo, model 1210: 80VDC, 6A cont., 1.5Nm torque, 3000rpm (peak: 28A, 7.1Nm - 1210oz-in).
I'm planning 6:1 gear ratio using 5M type timing belt, 25mm width. Is it good idea? This servo will drive used Bosch Rexroth 25mm dia, 10mm pitch ballscrew i already have. How about transformer? Z servo has a big difference between continous current and peak current. I don't know how to predict what transformer will fit it... I thought 60VAC, 10A toroid will be fine as it has good overloading capability. What do you think guys??

    Any comments are kindly welcome

    Lots of stuff here.

I have a RF-45 type of mill and I adjusted all the play out of the table X leadscrew nut and did some milling with the power feed and an hour later I had .004" of play in the nut.

The nuts on the RF-45 type of mills have a crappy backlash adjustment system so you will have a hard time keeping the backlash low. I would remove the nut and at least cut the slot deeper so more of the thread would adjust rather than just 1/4" of it.

thx, i think i'll change all the nuts. I'll make new ones using bronze, maybe this will help.
    How about transformers for servos??
    any ideas? does 60VAC/6A toroid fit my Z servo and 45VAC / 20A X and Y servos?
