Default Optimin SX2 end Mill Bit Size?

With all your experiences, what seems to be the optimum end mill bit size for the SX2 type of mill? Aluminum type of work that is. I a guessing 3/8?

    Thanks

That seems to work well for me. Once you get up close to the maximum listed, it's easy to stall the motor unless you slow down the feed rate quite a bit. I can't way to see how others weigh in though.

1/4 to 3/8 are the ideal sizes for the X2, I used 3/8 for most everything, you can take a pretty decent depth of cut with one.
Get some roughers if you want to remove a lot of stock at once.

no but mounting the scales aren't difficult, a little bit of sheet metal and some screws.
