You need to repost this in the Spindle section and you will find the guidance you need
Steve
I have been trying for two weeks to get Mach3 to control my spindle,
I am converting a JET Knee mill with a Huanyang VFD, the VFD works ok in Manual mode.
I need to know if PWM will work for this type of motor and VFD?
And what is the proper pin / port configuration.
All help is appreciated

Assuming your VFD has PWN inputs, then yes, you can. You need to supply your BOB with 10V (usually, sometimes 5v works too) then have it modulate (for a lack of better words) the voltage supplied to the VFD.
The port pin config depends on your BOB. You'll need to reference that doucmentation to figure out most of this.
Mach3 setup is a bit tricky, but I'd say you need to iron out these issues first. Do you have a working solenoid setup to turn the spindle on and off?
Using one of the Mach3 Huanyang plugins is easier.

Thanks for the response,
What I have is a Huanyang VFD that controls the spindle manually now.
I am not sure the VFD has PWM inputs but I will check.
