    Default Novakon Pulsar Advice

So, after looking around at a lot of different smaller mills, I've kind of settled on the Novakon Pulsar. One question I can't quite answer though is how loud the thing is in operation. It's being installed in a building where the room has some sound dampening, but the adjacent rooms are sort of rented office spaces. I'm wondering how loud this thing might be. Can anyone answer this? Maybe how loud it would be in relation to something that everyone is familiar with, like a battery operated hand drill or something like that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The actual machine is not that loud to operate.
It can get very loud when it is actually machining something. No louder though than any similarly sized machine. Some of our parts make very little noise like for drilling and tapping and light machining. Much along the lines of hand drill in operation.
When we start hogging off aluminum using HSM tool paths on our larger parts, it can get noisy. Much like beating a #4 galvanized tub with a broomstick.
