Default Hmm what should i put my mini mill on? Table? Toolbox?

Got a maxNC 15 cnc mill that just showed up and currently it's in pieces (thanks UPS) and I've never really milled stuff before but I can already see things starting to pile up. collets, parallel bars, end mills etc. Not that I will have much because I still have no clue what I am doing but do these machines shake and vibrate a ton

Would I be ok using a small cheap cart like this or should I get a bottom toolbox?

That looks wimpy. I would go with the bottom tool box.

I have to get a mister setup once I'm up and running. Any recommendations?

Hi....I use a regular steel bench with draws and an open space for larger items etc.....cost me A$250 about 2 years back.....the CNC mill I have came with an enclosure so it went straight onto the bench.

You will need some form of enclosure, even a shower curtain, to keep the chips in place or you'll be eating them......oh yeah, and a wet vac too.

    Hi Gamble.
Whatever you put your machine on it has to be rigid. At the very least The red tool trolly needs to be braced to precent the whole thing just folding when the machine changes direction in a hurry. I've seen some pretty flimsy affairs people mount their mills on and often wonder if the last. I put mine on a steel welding table that 'seemed' to be rigid enough. When I ran the mill/router in test, I was surprised to see the table moving whenever the mill stooed or the gantry changed direction. If you can't bolt whatever you are using to the a solid wall, it will move. If its got wheels on it, they need to be the locking variety or it will move. Hope this helps.

I built a cart of 1 inch heavy wall box tubes, it's on casters but I have a set of feet that thread down and hold it off the ground, the unit is heavy, but my shop space is limited so I need to move things here and there.

I do like being able to work outside on nice days.
