The MX3660 will need a separate power supply to control the spindle.
I'm new here but have been getting help from you all for a few months now and I'm almost finished setting this machine up.
I have a LMS 3990 running through a leadshine mx3660, I also purchased the LMS spindle controller card and trying to get the right wiring and mach3 settings for my machine to work. I'm at a loss at this point.
Any help is appreciated.

Which board did you buy?

That's the one. None of the diagrams in the manual show the mx3660.
Per the directions I can wire the "simplest connections" and the spindle comes on with power to the mill.
I need to figure out
1 how to wire and configure in mach3 the analog output from the 3660 to produce a range of voltage and send it to the "avi" on the 4213 board
2 how to configure the outputs on the mx3660 to ground the start/stop and direction ports on the 4213 board, then configure the ports n pins
If I'm looking at the diagrams correctly
Also I'm very confused about the outputs with the mx3660 the manual describes a link in pins between inputs and outputs, but doesn't show any interaction between "inputs" and "outputs" in the manual.
The manual on the MX is very confusing IIRC. The terms input and output were odd. However the connections to the G540 will be the same. The settings within Mach are what controls everything. Even after the physical connections are made. The settings will be confusing.
